Migrant experience project

First generation migrants' experience living in the u.s.

This is a project about first generation migrants living in the U.S. Anyone who was born in another country and had moved to the U.S. could have participated in this study. We asked first generation migrants living in the U.S. to respond to a short survey sharing their experiences during Trump's administration. The focus was mainly on discrimination. A snapshot of our findings is coming soon.

Migrant (n): Any person who was born in another country and has moved to the U.S., regardless of the person's: 

  • legal status

  • cause for the movement 

  • length of the stay

About the participants​ 

Total Respondents

  • 580 migrants completed the survey

Gender Breakdown

  • The respondents were 63% female and 37% male
